The user friendly and patient oriented 3D treatment planning system for HDR Brachytherapy.

Distributed worldwide under the name HDRplus™ by Eckert & Ziegler BEBIG GmbH and under the name Flexiplan™ by Isodose Control B.V. Flexiplan™ is FDA 510(k) and Health Canada approved.

The high dose rate brachytherapy treatment planning system has evolved from sonoTECH's advanced seed treatment planning system PSID. With the experience from the development of the most sophisticated seed therapy planning system in mind, sonoTECH has developed a state-of-the-art HDR planning software system equipped with a comprehensive set of features, setting the pace in combining effectiveness with ease of operation.

Reconstruction Methods

Various reconstruction methods will match every clinical case. The reconstruction can be based on coordinates, planar X-ray images or using CT, MRI, PET or US images. For film based reconstruction the following options are available:

  • Orthogonal
  • Reconstruction box
  • Isocentric with deviation
  • Variable angle

Applicator Library

Allows the user to load previously stored standard applicators or applicator groups including control points, etc. For each applicator the material (taken into account during calculation), default active positions, placed dose points and if possible the standard shape can be stored. This will allow fast reconstructions based on your preferences. User defined applicators can easily be added to the library.

Dose Optimization

Several dose optimization methods are available to obtain the optimal dose plan desired. Its inverse planning capabilities allow you to provide an optimal dose to the target whilst sparing healthy tissue.

Dose Visualization

Isodoses can be displayed in all 2D & 3D views. The color coded surface dose option supports the user to identify under or over dosed areas of the volumes.

Plan Evaluation

The plan is evaluated by means of the dose volume histogram. It displays the cumulative and differential histograms of any contoured structure as well as the natural histogram for the target volume. This function is completely interactive and is updated on every modification made to the plan.

Dicom RT connectivity

3D data sets from different imaging modalities can be imported directly via optical media or hospital network. It enables the user to communicate with the patient management systems in the department.

Image Fusion

Co-registration and fusion of two image sequences with up to 768 images is possible with manual matching or automated based on landmarks.

Image Processing
